“The course is designed to help privacy and security professionals understand the significant updates in ISO/IEC 27701:2025. Participants will learn how the clauses on understanding, planning, and implementing a privacy information management system (PIMS) are now independent and not tied to ISO/IEC 27001. The course also covers the revised approach to controls: instead of guidance being linked directly to ISO/IEC 27002, controls are now categorized for PII processors, PII controllers, and a shared category for both. Additionally, participants will understand how these categories can still reference ISO/IEC 27002 where applicable.” - PECB
